Kafe Padi

Kafe Padi is a café and restaurant located close to a rice field in Simpang Ampat Semanggol.

Coffees served here are espressos, americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, cocoa, and affogatos. Caramel, vanilla, and hazelnut syrups are available as an extra flavouring for your coffee. Frappes are also available in the form of coffees, cookies and cream, cendol (coconut milk, brown sugar, and green rice flour jelly), funfettis, and Padi’s Blend of milk, espresso, and their own secret recipe.

Local drinks served are teas, coffees, cham (coffee + tea), rose syrup, air bandung (milk + syrup) and a lychee + blackcurrant mix.

Foods served are buttermilk white rice with chicken or prawns, white rice with chicken or prawn kerabu mangga (mango salad), white rice with nasi putih daging tetel (sour and spicy tetel beef), and nasi dagang (rice steamed in coconut milk with fish curry and pickles). These are all local Malay delicacies.

Snacks available are keropok lekor (fried fish sausage), corndogs, dim sum, and french fries.

Sandwiches available are chicken katsu, tuna, and meatball sandwiches.

Kafe Padi is a halal establishment owned by Muslims.

The restaurant is open every day. Usual operating hours are from 9.00 am to 6.30 pm Saturdays to Thursdays; and 3.00 pm to 6.30 pm on Fridays.
