Meridian Hotel Taiping

The Meridien Hotel in Taiping is a very established hotel in Taiping, above the HSBC Bank in Jalan Simpang, Taiping.

It is a very short walk from the train station, and is a great place to stay if traveling on foot with large quantities of luggage. The hotel is in a busy part of town and there are shops for almost any need within a few minutes walk. Taxi and bus stands are also close by if you need to get about faster.

The hotel is located very close to what can be deemed the healing district of the city, with three of the largest hospitals in the city ( i.e. Taiping General Hospital, Apollo Medical Center, and Taiping Medical Center) all within walking distance. Many medical support services and businesses are also close by.

There are many religious buildings close by too, and many of these are on the Taiping Heritage Trail.

The Hotel Meridien Taiping is definitely one of the better places to stay if access to public transportation,  medical facilities, or religious facilities is a priority on your visit to Taiping. It is a great location to begin an extended stay in Taiping while exploring the rest of the city.
