Steam Train Mural

The Steam Train Mural is located at the intersection of Jalan Barrack and JTeong Chye, on the wall of 52, Jalan Barrack, facing Restoran Larut.

The mural commemorates Taiping’s history as the first railroad in what would in future become the country of Malaysia. The actual location of the first railway station in Taiping is actually only a few meters away from the mural, in what is now the field of the King Edward VII Primary School.
