The Old KTMB Bungalow

This old abandoned bungalow belongs to Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), the national rail service provider, and once served as quarters for the Taiping station crossing guard.

The building saw disuse after the flyover bypassing the railway was built. Before the flyover was built, cars were stopped by a manually-operated railway crossing, and the KTMB personnel in charge of this operation would lodge in this bungalow.
