3939 Food Center is a popular Chinese restaurant in Taiping, situated at the intersection of Jalan Kota and Jalan Manecksha.
The restaurant is more like a food court, with several hawker stalls selling food within the premises. In Malaysian culture, this restaurant would be popularly referred to as a kopitiam. The restaurant occupies a corner lot along a row of shophouses and extends all the way to Jalan Tokong in the back. In the evenings, more hawker stalls arrive for business and the parking bays along Jalan Manecksha are occupied by tables and chairs for a makeshift alfresco dining area. There are various kinds of food available here: chicken rice, nasi lemak, satay, various noodle dishes, and much more.
The restaurant is open as early as 7.00 am in the morning, and some hawker stalls only shutter at around 11.00 pm. The food court is a popular spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a late supper.
Some of the hawker stalls here serve halal food, while others serve non-halal food. If this is an important consideration for you, be sure to inquire before ordering your meal.
