Raintown Cafe by Diyanazri

Raintown Cafe is a restaurant located along Jalan Boo Bee in Taiping. The restaurant serves a mix of western and Asian food. Milkshakes are their specialty drink. This is a popular spot for breakfast and lunch.

Milkshake flavours available are: coconut, banana, watermelon, mango, strawberry, chocolate, mocha, tiramisu, cappuccino, hazelnut, and lotus biscoff.

Besides milkshakes, a slew of fresh fruit juices are available: coconut, coconut & lemon, lemon, lemon & pickled plums, apple, apple and pickled plum, orange, carrot, lychee, banana, watermelon, mango, and strawberry.

Western food available are: spaghetti in buttermilk, carbonara, aglio olio, and Bolognese sauce, with a choice of adding on meatballs, chicken slices, or grilled chicken; fried chicken, chicken chop, burgers, breaded chicken, breaded meatballs, fries, nuggets, wedges, and many other delightful food items. Mixed platters are also available.

Asian food available are: nasi lemak with a choice of sunny-side-up eggs, spiced chicken, clams, calamari, or prawns in chilli paste; or breaded clams, calamari, or prawns. Several set meals are available which consist of white rice, a choice of scrambled or sunny-side-up eggs, prawn paste, herbs, a choice of either soup or tomyam, and a side dish which is either spiced, fried in turmeric, fried in flour, with soya sauce broth, spicy broth, honeyed broth, cooked in coconut milk and chili, or spicy tamarind broth. Simpler meals are Kampung style fried rice, and tomyam fried rice. Laksa (rice noodles in fish broth), fried noodles and fried flat noodles are also served.
