Rayyan Green is a manufacturer and supplier of frozen Malay snack foods located along Jalan Tanjung in Kamunting, on the block neighbouring the Perodua Service Centre.
The main products manufactured and sold by Rayyan Green are:
- otak-otak, spicy fish cakes wrapped in glutinous rice and leaves;
- sata, spicy ground fish paste with dried coconuts, onions, and herbs, wrapped in banana leaves;
- pepes, spicy ground fish paste with coconut milk, lemongrass, onions, garlic, ginger, turmeric, and chili, wrapped in banana leaves;
- popia otak-otak, spring rolls with otak-otak as filling;
- popia sata, spring rolls with sata as filling;
- and popia pepes, spring rolls with pepes as filling.
These are all very traditional Malay snacks, with variations of the dishes found throughout Southeast Asia.
All the snacks here are sold frozen, to later be cooked or grilled by the buyer.
