Bismillah Restaurant is a popular restaurant serving Indian Muslim (or more popularly known among locals as Mamak) food. It is located along Jalan Taming Sari, directly opposite the retro clock tower and the entrance to the fish market. The restaurant has been around since the year 1900, making it probably the oldest restaurant in Taiping. The building that houses the restaurant was constructed in 1932.
The restaurant is especially busy in the early mornings as the breakfast crowd gets their morning meals before heading off to work. It is equally busy (if not more) when catering to the lunch crowd.
